Cornflake Cookies

2 Apr

Yummy! I made cornflake cookies :) Now I know how to make it. It’s so easy. I was exciting. My husband likes it and so do I. Thai people have a different lifestyle from American. I noticed that in America almost every house and apartment comes with an oven. Guess what? I don’t have it, I never seen it and I don’t know how to use it. When I was in America, I never used the oven except once, I bought an instant cake from store and tried to bake it.

The funny story about it is I was thinking, I don’t want to finish a whole box in one time,so, I used little bit of the mixing and added some eggs and water as they advised.  I was stupid. At that time, my English was poorer than what I am now hahaha :)  It turned out that the cake wasn’t rised completely. The taste was bad and I had to throw it away. hahaha!! I made many stupid things when I was there. OH! about a washer and dryer, too.

By the way, here is an ingredient.

Ingredients:

600 grams wheat flour

200 grams white sugar

200 grams brown sugar

250 grams butter

250 grams white butter

250 grams oat

150 grams cashew nut

100 grams cornflakes

100 grams raisin

3 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla powder

75 grams carnation milk

2 tablespoon powdered milk

1 tablespoon milk and butter flavor

- Beat butter and white butter in a mixing machine until it looks creamy or whip.

- Add white sugar, brown sugar and salt. Beat it again.

- Add flour, vanilla powder, powdered milk, milk and eggs.

- Beat them together until completely combined.

- Add oat, cashew nut, cornflakes and raisin. Mix until the dry ingredients combined.

- Scoop up a golf ball size and drop into a cookie sheet.

- Leave a space between each cookie because they will spread out when they cooked.

We have problem here because the weather is very hot and the butter melt too quickly. While we’re doing this, there’s some yellow liquid on top of the dough. My teacher recommended that we should put them in a refrigerator little bit. We have problem with the heat now! so hot!

- Put the cookies in the oven for 8-15 minutes when they completely cooked, leave them 3-4 minutes to cool down before packing.

Thank you for reading.

Creature Raisin Bread

1 Apr

I enrolled myself to a bakery course. Just want to spend my time this month waiting for my husband. I’ll see him soon :) I want to be able to bake for him in the future to complete a wife’s job :) .

Here, this is how I made.

After I mixed everything together in a mixing machine, I will get a dough. Then, knead the dough. This part is difficult at the beginning, especially, for a new bakery maker like me. The teacher said I have to knead the dough until it smooth, elastic and no longer sticky. Then, we covered with a clean plastic and wait.

We cut the dough into 3 pieces if you want to make a pig face and 5 pieces (1 big size and 4 small sizes) to make a turtle.

Knead the dough into round shape and spread the edge of the main dough.

Then, add margarine in the middle of the dough and add raisin as much as you like. I add quite alot for myself.

Fold the edge into the middle of the dough. Be careful with this step to hold the raisin completely.

Turn another side of the dough over and put the head, legs and hands together. I used a scissor to make fingers and mouth. We rise the dough before bake it by put them in a heat machine for a short time. Then, bake it.

We made the bread in many shapes such as monkey, rabbit, pig, turtle. It depends on each person’s creation.
